The Last of the Mother's Day Gifts
This is a purse I made for my mom for Mother's Day. I used the Ava Bag pattern from Grand Rival Designs. This is another pattern that I bought 50% from the Fat Quarter Shop back in December. It was a snap to make. If you need to make a gift in a jiffy, this one is a gem! Very quick to make and great instructions. It is bigger than it appears, too. I set it next to the Pink Sand Beach Designs bag (the first purse I made last week out of Fig Tree material) and they are equal in size.
Please ignore my disgusting ironing board cover. I need to get on that bandwagon and make a new one like Jen did. Someday...

Hello and nice to meet you!
That is one that I think I might have to try!
Great bag Kris. I think the Grandmas are going to be very happy with their Mother's Day gifts. Your ironing board is wanting a new outfit. I think that needs to be your next project. LOL.
You're so good to be planning ahead for Mother's Day -- very cute purse. I need a new ironing board cover too -- it would be so fun to make a cute one like Jens, but oh so much easier to just run to the store LOL!
So cute! I have to add that to my huge list of projects to try.
Well, it's certainly very pretty!
I love this one too. I am sure that both the moms will be very happy.
What a cute little bag, I love it.
LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT...and it is PINK, my favorite!!!
Wait a second... I thought that was my ironing board! Okay, who knew someone else had one just like mine? But your bag certainly spruces it up. I just love it and the color is just fabulous, my favorite!
What a great bag. Love the fabric you used. You are really on top of Mothers Day!
I love purses! It's like instant gratification when you make one! I wanted to tell you that I was given a purse out of the same fabric and pattern as the one you made for yourself a couple of posts back! How funny!
What a stylish bag - love the fabric you ahve used!
It's beautiful! I scrolled down a little and saw your other bags. I, too, bought a bag pattern from FQS during their sale. I, also, love FQS.
I love your blog. I'm adding you to my bloglist.
Thanks for the bag review..i bought this pattern a while ago and still have not made it...your the nudge i need! You Mom will be thilled!
Why don't they just make ironing boards the color of that stain...mine has that stain in 2 weeks :)
I'm thrilled to see your disgusting ironing board. Because mine is MORE disgusting!! Yea! for water stains.
