Still playing with stacked coins

More stacked coins anyone? Boy, AmandaJean....this is addictive. Many thanks to you for the idea over at the Moda Bake Shop. This time I thought I'd make a couple of table runners. I thought this first one turned out cute. Plus, it gave me time to practice more free motion quilting...I almost had fun this time, LOL! I'll even let you enlarge the picture this time if you must....LOL. This was a gift for my college BFF, Jen. I hope she enjoys it for spring. I still have one left to quilt and plenty of coins left to make a couple of more, if I'd like. I used 16 coins per top, just in case you get the itch!

And I think I may have to make one too. You did a great job on your free motion. Yup, I think I'm going to have to make a few of these... what great Mother's Day gifts!

Kris, your little Coin Quilt is so cute. Good job on the free motion quilting. Your friend is going to love it. Now I'm thinking I should give this little quilt a try.

I am scared to try free motion quilting. I bought the little loopy foot, and I've messed around a little, following the directions for stippling that say to make mickey mouse ears, and NEVER cross over a previous stitching! I can't do it. You have made lovely loops and curves, no ears and are crossing over previous lines. That I think I can do! And I will try soon. Any advice?

Thank you for your comment regarding the FMQ. Like I said, this I think I can do! I will give it a try......I have a quilt top I threw together last week from some fats I found in the clearance basket for 50 cents! I'm going to use it in the new trailer, and it will keep us warm no matter what the quilting looks like! Thanks for giving me the little nudge I needed to try it! I visit you almost daily. Stop by to see me again, too!

Guess What Kris? I'm catching the Coin Quilt bug. I bought some Kona White fabric today and I'm using a honey bun from the fabric line Soiree by Lila Tueller. I'll let you know my progress.

You are such a good quilter! I wish I had your patience and talent. I posted a few pics of quilts on my sight yesterday. Some old ones that I have and a old quilt top that I will some day quilt.
