Have you been over here lately? That Ms. Amanda Jean amazes me with all of her quilting.
I wanted to make a quick baby quilt. I had some Lakehouse charm squares that I love. In fact, I think I have had them for over a year; you can only love and hoard something for so long and then you really ought to do something with it. So with a quick trip to the quilting store to pick up some yardage, I was able to make this fun pink, green, and yellow Lakehouse Flea Market Fancy quilt top. I really do like the simplicity of it.
I loved this pattern so much that I plan on making it in a full for my spare bed using some fabric in my stash. Someday. This is a really quick quilt to whip up. If you'd like to make your own, the directions are here.
It is 48 inches square, which is probably a bit big for a baby quilt but I like to give a quilt that will grow into toddler hood with them.

Very cute simple quilt!
Great! Great! baby quilt! I love the size.
Wonderful quilt! It is nice to be able to finish up a quilt quickly. A great pattern!
Beautiful! You know, I started two baby quilts when I started my whole sewing adventure and I just don't like them. A little too complex for a beginner. Maybe I can re-work them to match this. Wonderful!
Very cute. Love it.
This is a great idea for baby quilts. I need to make a couple for charity so I'm going to check out the directions. blessings, marlene
oh, how sweet is that? i love it! and it looks so good in a square layout, too. i agree with you, better to have the quilt a little large so they can grow with it.
What a cute quilt!
I agree with you about simplicity. What a pretty quilt!
your baby quilt looks so lovely!!
Love your baby quilt...what a lucky little baby! Hugs, Mary
I found you through Amanda Jean's blog. I am currently working on a Flea Market Fancy quilt myslef.... I love the idea of the baby quilt. I love visual aids.
This quilt is too cute. The nice thing about making it a little bigger is as they grow they'll still be able to use it.
Very Cute! And you're so right -- you should only keep your fabric for so long -- but it's SO hard to cut into it!
It is a perfect size for a baby quilt...I like to lay the quilts on the floor for their belly play too!
i love this quilt, it is so simple and fresh, nice color choice!
i don't know if it is ok to ask but would you be willing to sell your quilt shown here?
it is BEAUTIFUL and if i read wrong and you plan on using it for a loved one please don't worry.
thank you
