Moda Bake Shop Project with mom

So I helped mom make this Moda Bake Shop table runner last week I was visiting.  Her quilt shop had the materials, even batting, kitted up.  I recognized the sample right away.  We had a good time playing with her new machine, Janome 6600.  BTW, if you are planning on buying a new Janome...you best run their prices are currently shooting up.  I know my LQS is leaving the old pricing until they run out and have to order more.

We did make our own pattern for the applique flowers.  We wanted something a bit bigger.

This was made using Eden fabrics by Lila Tueller of Moda.

Hi Kris, Very refreshing looking! I have the Janome 6500. I sold it once and missed it so much I purchased another one. I will always keep it. It is a wonderful machine! Pam in Chico

Very pretty Kris, I like the rounded corners. I just looked at the 6600P and sure would like one. I wanted to check out other prices first.

Very cool that you and your mom did this together ... I'm trying to get my mom into quilting and she's shopping for a new machine right now. Good job both of you!

Oooh very nice, I love the crisp white background with the Eden! I have the Janome 6600P also and love it to bits, couldn't recommend it highly enough! You are so lucky to be able to share things like this with your mum, alas my mum is not a quilter.

I just bought the Janome 6600P last week and have done some playing with it, but can't wait to do more! Glad to hear that others love it too. I got it for $1800 with the table and several extra feet. They had quite a few trade ins available at good prices because people are trading for the 7700, but it did not impress me much because it is sooo big.
