Bag Party Update 1

Update 1:

I spent most of the night changing my mind.  I was driving my family nuts.  I made a mess of my sewing room.  Crazy mess.  Uggh.  Choices, decisions, oh my!  This morning, I think I have settled on making 2 purses, perhaps not both today.  I am going to use this Quilts Illustrated Pattern called Camielle's Bag.  I really like the looks of this pattern although I have never made it.  I hope it goes well.

This is mom's (Mary) project.  She is using this Bunny Hill Designs jelly roll bag pattern.  It is super cute.  She has made this pattern before.  She is using Cotton Blossoms fabric.  She has 3 bags cut, the strips sewn, and the lining cut.  She has one bag almost together.  She hopes to finish all 3.  Mom wants to give a special shout out to her friend's at home, Ina and Esther, who may be tuning in this weekend.

We are taking a break to go to the soccer game.  We will be back by noon to get sewing.  I hope to see some of you sites up and going when I get back!  Happy sewing girls!

I like the way you have set up a group on your side bar for our sewing party. It makes it easy to see the last time someone posted and when there is something new to look at.

It took me a while last night to decide on what tote to make today. So we were doing the same thing.

Ditto on just about everything you and Karen said....I love the side bar update, makes it easy to see when someone posted.
I don't have a pattern, persay, that I am working from...just your ordinary tote bag made with selvedges, which I managed to make the 'fabric' for yesterday. Will post to my blog now.

Thanks so much for hosting this today and I agree: the list of us in the sidebar is going to make visiting everyone *much* easier :)

I can't wait to see your finished Camielle's bag, and get your opinion of the pattern, I have it but haven't attempted one yet.

I think you both are going to have very nice bags in spring colours.

Looks like when you get home from Buddy's game you'll be all set to start sewing. Your mom's tote bag is going to be very nice with the Cotton Blossom fabric.

Whoohoo! Let's party! I love your bag choices! I was at a soccer game last night, so have to decide this morning what to work on first. ;-) Good luck to your DS! I like the link set-up too! ;-)

I'm just home from soccer myself. It actually snowed during and after the game. I had the same trouble choosing which bag to make for today too! How wonderful to have your Mom to sew with! She is on the ball, too!
