I just tuned in to see how everyone is doing at the party. I helped to host a charity tea today, so I'm not able to work on my own bag, but I can admire everyone else's accomplishments instead. :-)
Just had to say that I love that your Mom is there with you. My Mom and I quilt together too. My Mom had a hand injury lately and can't sew herself yet, but she still comes over to help me while I work. She lays out blocks, does the pressing, and helps with pinning. (She would probably help with the seam ripper too if I ever made a single mistake. Eh hem.) It is so much more fun to quilt when Mom is here!! I imagine you are laughing and having a great time, and I hope taking a few breaks to eat something yummy too.
I also think it's cute that Mom has Ina and Esther tuning in. My Mom is always telling her friends to come read my blog. Moms are cute that way. :-)
I like the bag tutorial you shared with us, and am grateful for that project on my "to do" list. I'm hoping to get mine made this week. Thanks for hosting, and good luck on a strong finish!
First--Thank you for Hosting this great and fun day of bag sewing--I got a project done that would of not gotten done had it not been for the sew-in--and I just love how mine came out---so does "bubbles"!!!! You and your Mom are going full steam ahead---will be back tomorrow to see final pictures Hugs, Di
