Back from the spa, and a finish to share

I had a great weekend.  What did you do??  My friend and I went to a salon in Traverse City, Michigan.  We had the ultimate pedicure.  I decked out the tootsies in a red sparkle nail polish in honor of Valentine's Day.  Then we did some shopping.  We also dined at this trendy restaurant called Trattoria Stella.  They prepare their daily menu choices based on the local farms.  Pretty cool, right?  Trattoria Stella is located at The Village of Grand Traverse Commons.  Isn't it pretty?

These building use to be the state mental institute, which was shut down in the 80's.  Recently they have been renovated to fit wineries, local farmer's markets, restuarants, shops, and very cool lofts/suites.  I think it is great that this beautiful building is being put to use.

So, we've been watching a lot of the Olympic coverage.  Is anyone else an addict?  But I did sit down and zip this together this morning.  It was a piece of cake, I have no idea what took me so long to finish it.  Most of you know where to find this SWEET TREAT pattern that uses honeybuns, but here is the link just in case.

Sounds like you had a very nice weekend! And the Sweet Treats bag... uh yah. I need to make one! I have had the pattern printed out forever and everything.

I finished my Maggies pouches (pic and post came soon) and one Easter basket (4 more to go. UGH!)

That sounds like a fabulous time! What a great way to preserve buildings.

I'm totally addicted to the Olympics too - it's on every minute! I think I'm being more productive, with something to watch!

What no picture of your lovely pedicure? Your bag is so cute.

Haven't watched too much Olympics, but I did get to see Hanna with her Gold Metal Skiing, that was awesome.
