Charming Girls' Quilt Club- July Edition

Carol mentioned this club, Charming Girls' Quilt Club, which I thought sounded fun for finishing up some of my UFO's and unstarted projects that I have laying around. Thanks, Carol! So, this month I plan to finish this quilt top, Keyholes which I still have laying in 9 blocks. I actually ended up ripping 2 of the blocks apart because somehow I sewed them backwards! Trust me, this is something only I could do! LOL! I am using the pattern Keyholes by Anka's Treasures and the fabric is by Minnick and Simpson, Christmas Past. I love this fabric. As I already mentioned, this pattern by Anka's Treasures is a real gem and any level sewer would love it.

And I guess I am feeling a bit ambitious as I am going to throw another entry onto the pile! I am planning on quilting and binding my cottage quilt, which uses a variety of Fig Tree Quilts fabrics and the pattern is Joanna's design as well.

I hope some of you will join in the fun....there are some great prizes to be had....and finish up your UFO's!

What a great idea! I wish I could join but I don't think I would have the commitment. I think I'm home for one whole week in July! But I did start and finish a project yesterday. I need to take a picture and post it. Your quilts are great!

Hmmmmmm.....should I or shouldn't I (join that is .....) hmmmmmm......pressure ......hmmmmm......it's a good idea but would involve organization and would not allow procrastination (uh oh ....) I need a marine drill sargeant to keep me on track .... or better yet, I need Alice from the Brady Bunch to take care of all those little incedentals like cooking, laundry, shopping, and bathroom cleaning .....and a secretary would be nice .... OH and winning the lottery would be good too!....(sigh) .... well, it doesn't look like any of that is gonna happen anytime soon, SO I won't embarass myself by joining and then be the one who NEVER has her assignment finished on time!!! BUT, I'll be cheering you on to finish those ADORABLE quilts !!!!

LOVE how that house quilt is coming out! It really is my favorite thing to see when someone else does one of our patterns in a different color palette!

Happy Sewing,

Joanna

Two very cute quilts to finish! The Keyholes is very cute, and I'm a huge Fig Tree fan, so I love the second one, too! I'm so glad you're joining us in the fun -- and can't wait to see your FO's!
