Joplin Quilters in Need of Donations

I actually caught wind of this thru Allie.  Fons and Porter has issued a plea for help for a Joplin group of quilters.  Below is the copied article and here is the link where I found the original.

The Town and Country Quilters of Joplin, MO lost everything, including their homes, in a recent and devastating tornado. This quilting group is known for donating many of their quilts to local charities, and could use your help to get started again. They need all tools and supplies restocked because their storage house was also destroyed. Gone are all of the supplies used in the making of charity quilts (rotary cutters, cutting mats, batting, fabric, etc.). If you or your quilt guild would like to donate items, please send them to guild member:

When I was cleaning out the sewing room I found a quilt kit that had been sitting there for several years.  I have decided to ship it to the Town and Country Quilters.  I hope that you will join me in rebuilding this groups' efforts.  I know we all have something in our stash that they could use.

Thanks Kris! I'm sure there is some fabric in my stash that I don't care for anymore. I will go through it and send it off.

Thanks for the info Kris. I have a kit I know I'll never use too -- this would be a great home for it!

I think it's wonderful the way the quilting community is pulling together to help out those who have been through so much.
