Painting is done

Both bedrooms are painted! Quilts are on the beds. I even have a sewing station set up in the guest room.

Bibs with style

So, I used my scraps to create these cute bibs. I only have the tops done as I need to buy flannel for the back.

A birthday present

I created this little purse out of 5 fat quarters! I had plenty of left overs to use in my next project, which I will post. This is a present for a friend who hates her present purse! Hopefully, she'll like it. I thought the pinks and browns fitting for February.

A Quilt for My Nephew

This quilt pattern came out of an old McCall's issue. My nephew requested that I use blue, his favorite color. I found the football pattern to use for the diamond. I was a bit unsure if it would all pull together right up until the very end of piecing, but I was quite pleased with the outcome. This seems much larger than imagine 54 inches to be! This always seems to happen to me.

Another finished quilt

I just finished this double irish chain quilt's binding. It is a compliment quilt to the queen I posted earlier. I like an extra quilt to hang on the end of the bed.

Tutu much fun

Our friends came for a visit this weekend and I put together this quick no sew tutu. Isn't it cute?

Project Directions:

2 yards of light pink tuelle

2 yards of dark pink tuelle

1 yard of ribbon

You'll need to trip fabric to the right length for your subject's waist, to tie a bow and leave a bit of room for growth. Using your rotary cutter, cut the tuelle into 6 inch strips WOF. Bring the looped end of the tuelle above your ribbon. Loop the raw edges of the tuelle thru the loop (making sure to go around ribbon). Tie tuelle like this in a light pink, dark pink, light pink pattern. Tie end knots on both side of the ribbon so that the tuelle won't slide off. You're finished, just wrap the skirt around your model and tie it in the back!

A Quilt Made from My Stash

Isn't this a cute baby quilt? I used 3.5 Thangles on the pinwheels. I used McCalls mystery quilt applique pattern for the butterflies.

A Finished Quilt, Hooray!

That's right, that binding project wasn't bad at all. The square queen is COMPLETED!!! Now I just need to get to painting. Truthfully....I'd rather be quilting!
